9 Reasons Why We Love Ukraine
Here are reasons why we love Ukraine.
Lets get straight to the point.
1.) The Cost of Living
Seems obvious, but it’s so true. When you can take a nice girl out for an incredible date for a dozen bucks–WOW. The cost of living in Ukraine (for now) is absolutely incredible. You get such a value for the United States dollar that it simply makes sense to live in Ukraine.
2.) Business Lunches
This kind of goes hand-in-hand with #1, but it’s worth mentioning. Business lunches are lunch specials (most common in Kiev), in which you get a 3-4 course meal for about…$5.
Typically, business lunches include:
- Juice drink
- Main meal
- Dessert (if not included, available for less than a dollar on the menu. Same with coffee).
3.) The Girls…
Seriously. Some of the writers on this site have spent a significant amount of time traveling to a lot of places around the globe. Ukrainian girls are some of the most feminine and beautiful creatures on the entire planet.
You need to screen them properly, but if you do–you may have a catch on your hand.
4.) The Food
It can be difficult to figure it out at first, but it’s really spectacular once know where to go and what to order. This simply takes time and practice. Start here in regards to Ukrainian food.
5.) Domestic Travel
Which is super affordable, quick, and not-as-bad as you’d think.
6.) The Soviet Life
Parts of the Former Soviet Union are still very present in Ukraine. From the architecture, to the food, to the overall way of life. In some ways, it’s somewhat depressing. And in other ways, it’s absolutely wonderful. A drastic difference from the Western way of life.
7.) The Chaos of Kiev
Kiev is one of the most exciting and vibrant cities we’ve ever been to. It’s like a miniature version of New York City–at about 10% of the cost. No joke about that.
Kiev is simply a place anyone interested in traveling should spend some time in. Here’s a “getting started” guide.
8.) The Sights
Many of these “tourist sights” are spectacular and yet nobody knows about them.
9.) The Quirks
Underground tunnels that you get lost in, streets that you may die while you cross, the difficulty of communicating…it may sound harsh, but it’s so much fun.
It’s hard to understand these quirks until you get to Ukraine and experience it for yourself. Maybe you can hop a quick flight over to Ukraine from the States.
But…it’s something everyone should experience in their life.
Ukraine is a wonderful place.
Do you agree?
